In the summer of 2011 we were in South Africa for two weeks. We decided on the big tour: starting in Cape Town, along the coast, over the Kruger National Park and back from Johannesburg. Opinions differ slightly on the tour, many say it's too much for the two weeks. Of course you do not have days to explore the area in one place, but for us this was a great first impression of South Africa. So great that in 2012 we traveled to South Africa again. We had our own rental car, for SA probably the best option. We did not have a guide, but a road map - and this one here. For people who do not rent a sat nav highly recommended.
